Can the beer can chicken be done in a smoker, i have a gas smoker and if so what would the instruction be for temp and time

Beer can chickens can be done on a gas smoker. I've done alot of them and try and keep my smoker between 240 - 250. Time is when it's done, but my guess is around 3 hours.
