Charbroil smoker door doesn't seem to seal well.

I have just purchased a Charbroil CB600X vertical smoker. After assembling it, it looks like the door doesn't seal all the way. There may even be a slight bend to the door which causes a larger gap towards the bottom of the smoker. The gap all around is about 1/4 inch maybe 1/2 inch towards the bottom. Is there any kind of padding I can line the edge of the door with to fill this gap or is the gap something that won't even make a difference? Haven't tried to use it yet so not sure if smoke is leaking out.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it unless it is leaking out alot of smoke.

go to your hardware store (I bought mine at ace) and ask for fireplace rope. You need to also get some high temp glue. I did that to my WSM and has worked fine.
