Easy Grilled Shrimp
| Don't expect a lot of complexity with this easy grilled shrimp recipe. It's just shrimp and one other ingredient. That's what makes it so simple! |
The choice of shrimp to use in this recipe is yours. Large shrimp, jumbo and even colossal are great choices, deveined of course. Just remember that the smaller the shrimp, the more time you spend shelling the little critters.
Easy Way Out Shrimp RecipeINGREDIENTS
- 1 pound deveined, shell on shrimp
- 4 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning
Yes, that's it! Distribute the Old Bay Seasoning onto a bowl of thawed shrimp, mixing to coat evenly. Set the bowl in the refrigerator as you go light the grill to preheat to medium high.
Once the grill is hot, lay the shrimp over direct heat for 2 to 4 minutes on the first side (time depends on size of shrimp-larger shrimp, longer grilling time). Flip the shrimps over, and grill another 1 to 3 minutes, until done.
Don't overdo it with shrimp. Once the flesh has just turned an opaque white color, they're done.
Shrimp Butter SauceThis sauce is optional for dipping the peeled shrimp. And hey, it adds just on more ingredient to the recipe.
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
Heat the butter to melt in a small sauce pan. Add the seasoning and mix in.
If you like, peel all the shrimp, then toss in the butter sauce before serving.
