Fishy Flavors

by Fish Girl
(Vancouver BC)

Hi Smokerbill!!!
We have a Bradley smoker that we use regularly for smoking salmon and trout. We have never used it for anything else!!! (Drat - what were we thinking!!) Today I had this wonderful idea of smoking some ribs in the smoker. When my boyfriend arrived home and I told him of my great idea, he was totally into it too - except for the one and only time he tried to make beef jerky and all he could taste was FISH!!

PLEASE!!! Can you recommend a remedy for this so we can try out all your recipes.

Thank you.

Best Regards,

Fish Girl

Dry run
by: Anonymous

I would try doing a dry run with a wood only fire using mesquite or hickory to get rid of it. Unfortunately, that seasoning is now going to be built into the sides of your pit - and if the dry run doesn't help, you may have to give it a good scrub and THEN do a dry run...
