Grilled Portabella Burger

So easy, yet so tasty! You can make a grilled portabella burger in minutes on the grill. And it actually makes a satisfying and filling meal. Really!

To make six grilled portabella sandwiches, you'll need:

Six large portabella mushrooms
Worcestershire sauce
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
Eight ounces of shredded mozzarella cheese
Six sliced hamburger buns

Remove the stems and gills from the mushroom caps. Brush each on both sides with Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper. Now brush both sides with a bit of olive oil.

Grill the mushrooms over direct medium heat for about five minutes, first with the stem side down. Turn the caps over and fill with shredded mozzarella cheese. Continue to grill for another five minutes, or until the cheese has melted.

Separate the hamburger buns and toast them on the grill for a few minutes before placing the grilled portabella burger between them. Serve with steak sauce and thinly sliced onions.
