Finger foods are great before the main meal. With these grilled snack recipes you can create munchies to be served as appetizers before dinner, or as a light meal in themselves.
Meats and vegetables can be seasoned and grilled in small pieces on skewers, or larger foods can be grilled, then sliced thinly and served on crackers or toast.
One of my favorite appetizers is made from grilled salmon that is combined with sour cream, cream cheese and herbs, served on buttery club crackers. Topped off the slices of black olive, red onion or grape tomatoes, these snacks not only taste good, they look good too.
Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers
If you like bacon, smoke, cheese and hot peppers, this recipe was made for you. Jalapenos are stuffed with a combination of cream cheese and smoked cheddar, wrapped with bacon, and grilled until the peppers are tender and the bacon is crispy. MMMMmmmm!
With a spicy sauce reminiscent of buffalo wings, these shrimp are a hit at any get together. Serve 'em with bleu cheese dressing and assorted fresh veggies.
Teriyaki Turkey Wings
Grilled turkey wing sections seasoned with teriyaki sauce and an assortment of other great flavors are almost too big to be called snacks. Great eating any time!
Grilled Shrimp Skewers
Cook up mess of these in a matter of minutes. Flavored with Old Bay seafood seasoning, the shrimp are skewered and cooked over high heat until just done.
Teriyaki Steak Skewers
Beef. It's what's for snackin'! Take a nice steak and slice it into strips. Soak 'em in a teriyaki marinade for an hour or two and grill 'em. Don't overcook these unless you really like tough, dry beef.
Grilled Superbowl Snacks
Even though these were designed with the big game in mind, these recipes for bacon wrapped veggies, cheesy jalapenos and barbecued beef bombs are good any time.
Grilled Stuffed Mushrooms
These are excellent, made with a tasty filling of crabmeat and cornbread muffin mix. A mix of finely chopped vegetables adds flavor and color.
