I just won a smoker from Sam Adams Beer

Help!

Help!

I won a smoker from Sam Adams beer and don't know what to do with the thing. Is there a how to somewhere that you'd recommend? I'm wondering if I should attempt smoking or just sell it. I love the meat but don't really know what I'm getting in to. Is it an all day task to smoke something? 6 hours drinking beer watching my capsule or do you start it and leave it? No idea, so any help would be great.

How to Use Correctly
by: Bob

Hi. How do you use this smoker? I've used Brinkman's for years. My lid has 2 bars running thru it with hooks hanging off it with a grill grate attached to the hooks. If you place a turkey on the grate above the water pan, the bars running thru the hood will be sitting on the turkey and NO way to close the lid or seal it. The water pan appears to only be able to sit at the top of the smoker unit and so you appear to be very limited in the size of a piece of meat/poultry that you can place on the smoker without the 2 bars in the lid interfering with the food...? Any ideas? Also, does anyone know if there are any instructions/directions for this smoker? I've been unable to locate them on the internet...

Thanks,

Bob

Just picked it up. Seems pretty simple, and will give it a try this weekend... But may also look to selling it.

I want one...
by: Ed

My brother in law just sent me a picture message with one of these in it, and I have been looking everywhere as to how to get one... I have a Brinkman, which I absolutely love... Perfect for brisket, chicken, ribs, Bacon Explosion... The list goes on and on... But I have been wanting a second smoker for my big parties... And feel that one of these would be the perfect addition to my family... If anyone is interested in selling their's and shipping it to Ohio... Just drop me a line to edsopko@hotmail.com and let me know what you are looking to get out of it and we can work something out.

Samuel Adams Smoker

I won a Samuel Adams barbeque smoker grill also. It's the same as pictured above. Never been used. I don't have room for it becuase I live in apartment. Interested in selling it or putting it in storage until I can use it somewhere.

Not sure what it's worth but looking into it. Let me know if you are interested in purchasing it. I live in Atlanta, GA. Willing to ship but purchaser pays shipping cost.

I think you should find a good home for it, a place where it will be appreciated and loved, how about my house. If not get to smoking and enjoy.

LONG BUT GOOD
by: BIG COUNTRY SMOKERS

CONGRATS, NOW YOU CAN START YOUR JOURNEY OF TRYING AND FAILING MANY TIMES. YOU WILL EVENTUALLY GET IT RIGHT AND HAVE YOUR OWN GOOD TASTING MEAT THAT YOU CAN CALL YOURS.LOW AND SLOW COOK BETWEEN 210 & 220
AND I LIKE TO COOK FOR AN HOUR AND TWENTY MIN PER POUND. THE LONGER THE BETTER.. AFTER NINE HOURS FOR RIBS I WRAP THEM IN FOIL FOR A COUPLE MORE. I ALSO LIKE TO RUB THE MEAT WITH MY RUB(YOU CAN FIND A BASIC RECIPE ONLINE)START WITH THAT THEN ADD TO MAKE IT YOURS. RUB THE NIGHT BEFORE AND WRAP IT IN PLASTIC WRAP TIGHTLY FOR 24 HRS.I ALSO MOP MY MEAT ONCE AN HOUR WITH A VINEGAR BASED MOP. IT HELPS TENDERIZE THE MEAT. ALSO CLEAN WHITE SMOKE MUST FLOW THE WHOLE TIME DO NOT TRAP SMOKE IN THERE IT WILL GIVE THE MEAT A BITTER TASTE.LET IT FLOW LOW AND SLOW AND YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME LEARNING.
ALL OF THE MOPS, AND RUBS AND DIRECTIONS CAN BE FOUND ON INTERNET BUT TALKIN TO REAL SMOKERS HELPS ALOT .I HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL AND THESE FEW TIPS SAVES A COUPLE CHUNKS OF MEAT FROM BEING NON EDIBLE. HAVE FUN...
