our first smoked turkey breast

A few years ago we invested in a charcoal smoker thinking if we enjoyed using it we would get a stainless electric one. Well I consider myself a good southern cook (we have stayed fat on my cooking for 40 years) any way we were thinking that if we smoked a turkey breast very slow over nite we would have a nice turkey breast for Thanksgiving - Well the catch was over nite and the fact you really can't control the heat in a charcoal smoker @@@@@- WEll we had smoked turkey and it lasted a long time- it was so black and hard that my husband's chain saw would not have sliced it. Glad I had cooked a ham in the oven for dinner that day also or we would have had a meatless Thanksgiving Day meal. Now we use an electric smoker and we also check instructions for smoking time and also get suggestions from sites like this. Hope everyone has a very BLESSED THANKSGIVING DAY> CJG

And you'll never forget that one turkey breast either I bet. Just a note: 3 or 4 hours should have been enough.
