Recipes for Royal Oak Smokers

by Patrick Dillon
(Wentzville)

I have had a Brinkman electric smoker for years and love it, it has worn out so I just recently purchased a Royal Oak Electric smoker model # E1609B it only had a couple of recipes for smoking in the instruction book but the recipes it did have say to smoke for 2 hours then remove and wrap in heavy duty tin foil then smoke for two more hours. With my brinkman I never had to do this. Does wrapping the meat in tin foil after cooking for 2 hours have to be done with the Royal Oak smoker?????

Need instruction manual

I can't seem to find an instruction manual online for the Royal Oaks Smoker BBQ Grill we've been lent. I see some good tips here, but does anyone know where I can download a manual from?

love royal oak smoker

I bought mine at a end of season close out at Fred's for $59.00 and I think it is the greatest. I have been smoking and barbecueing meat for 40 years and this machine sure simplified the process. It maintains it heat level and produces plenty of smoke. It all about knowing what you are doing and how you do it.

smokless smoker?????
by: Anonymous

I had the same problems with no smoke with my royal oak smoker I purchased from walmart. Once I lowered the wood chip tray to just above the element and filled the tray with dry chips, and control knob on HI, I had great smoke within 10 min. the only problem I'm seeing is setting the temp control lower to obtain the 200-225 temp range once the smoker is warmed up, and keep it smoking. It seems like ithe control has to be set at HI all the time to keep it smoking.

Love the Royal Oak
by: Steve G....Arizona

My wife bought me the Royal Oak 2 years ago, and we love it. Don't follow a recipe book, go with experience. We also use it to grill; so when we smoke, we use smoke trays or planks. Monitor your thermostat, make sure your vents are open in the right direction. Always soak your wood, and make sure you match the right wood to your meat/fish. We've never had a bad batch come out of our smoker. But I recommend planks with fish or seafood. Happy smoking!

No Smoke too!

Oh man I thought it was me doing something wrong. Even when I see smoke, nothing in the smoker tastes smoked! Going back to the Brinkman!

Hating royal oak smokers
by: Hating royal oak smoker

I have had two Brinkman smokers. Tons of meat smoked in those bad boys. Just bought a Royal Oak yesterday and I am taking it back today. It will not smoke at all.
