Smoking Spiral Cut Ham

How will a pre spiral cut ham smoke compared to a regular hamm ? I bought a regular half ham and used the Easy Ham recipe from your site and it did great. I would like to try the spiral cut half ham but wasn't sure if would change the smoking time.

A spiral cut ham will smoke as well as an uncut ham, and will take about the same amount of time. You'll find the slices to have a more consistent smokey flavor from the juices at the surface of the ham being able to drip between the slices.

There may also be more juices drip out of the spiral cut ham as it smokes, so place it in a shallow baking pan or disposable aluminum pan to keep your smoker clean.
