I have a 14 pound brisket. You smoke it a hour per pound which would equal 14 hours. If I cut it in half and put both halves in the smoker at the same time, will it only take 7 hours to cook.
It all depends on what you are using the brisket for. For Texas style brisket, not nearly enough time. For pastrami.....160 degrees! 200 for nice tender brisket. Don't worry about time...use temp....Mike
